“Loving Vincent” is the world’s first film that has been entirely hand-painted. An investigation to the life and controversial death of Vincent Van Gogh, told through his paintings and those who knew him.
Joseph Roulin is the mailman whom Van Gogh portrayed in a painting and of whom he became a close friend. Joseph was not convinced with the thesis that the painter and committed suicide, he send his son, Armand, deliver the last letter the artist had written to his brother, Theo.
Armand leaves on his misison. When he discovers that the brother had died soon after Vincent, begins a series of encounters and meetings with the several characters that crossed the artist’s life before his death. The more people he listens to, more the theory of suicide seems unjustified. To whom should he deliver the letter, when all seem guilty of Vincent’s death?
