In the year that marks the centenary of the Great War, CINANIMA could not remain indifferent to one of the world events with more impact in art. The Festival is going to display three programs “Animation Films about the Great War 14 -18”, with the purpose of reflecting on this landmark, making you think by showing you different interpretations on a set of aesthetically interesting and different films.
With this theme, CINANIMA pays tribute to all the victims, in particular on November 11 – which marks another anniversary of the armistice of 1918 that ended the conflict.
The Festival, therefore, opened with “Le soldat méconnu” of Jérémie Malavoy – a documentary that tells the unheard story of the last soldier to die in the Western Front.
CINANIMA pays tribute to a moment in history that everyone will remember.
