Joana Nogueira

Joana Nogueira was born in 1988 in Moledo do Minho. In 2009 she graduated in Fine Arts from ESAD in Caldas da Rainha, and during the degree she studied at the Venice Fine Arts College as part of the Erasmus programme (2008-2009). She has a master’s in Illustration and Animation from IPCA in Barcelos (2016), where she focused on the construction of puppets for animation.
In 2015 she participated in the Academia RTP 3.0 where she co-directed with Patrícia Rodrigues the animated documentary short “Pronto, era assim”, which has won awards in national and international festivals.
She is currently part of the Casa da Animação team, in Porto, and concentrates on teaching fine arts to children. At the same time, she works on personal sculpture, illustration, and animation projects.

Drawing is the thing he prefers to do in life. During the Training Course of Multimedia at Eprofcor he had his first contact with animation and since then that passion grew stronger. António had the opportunity to collaborate, as na animator, in the feature film “Até ao tecto do Mundo” directed and produced at the Cineclube de Avanca. Since then,he works in several projects: series, short animation films, fiction films and documentaries. He has recently collaborated in the documentar “Preto Funguli”, which is now in post-production.
