Now that the work of the Selection Jury of CINANIMA – The International Animated Film Festival of Espinho is completed it is time to take a peek to what can be seen in November, at the Centro Multimeios of Espinho.
For this 38th edition, CINANIMA had the privilege of counting with some well known people involved in animation, who kindly accepted the hard work of choosing the films to be shown in competition, doing it for the friendship and prestige they recognize in a Festival such as CINANIMA.
For nine days, the Selection Jury constituted by Paula Tavares (Portugal), Carlos Fernandes (Portugal) and Sébastien Watel (France), viewed 1300 films, from 63 countries, in a total of more than 150 hours.
The International Competition will present 60 short films and 4 feature films. Worth pointing out the presence of two Portuguese films in International Competition that will be by side with films made by renowned directors such as Priit and Olga Parn, Roberto Catani and Konstantin Bronzit, among others, in the run for the Grand Prize CINANIMA 2014. The National Competition will present 28 films divided in two different awards: 11 films compete for the António Gaio Award and 17 compete for the Young Portuguese Director Award. 88 films is the total of films in competition in the 38th edition of CINANIMA, that will be held from the 10th to the 16th of November, in Espinho.
