Synopsis: The workshop will focus on the processes of creating and animating special effects for a small film excerpt inspired by the imagery of the Star Wars saga – a small confrontation of light sabres. For this purpose we will simulate a small studio with the aid of tools like video camera, lights and a fabric greenscreen. And the participants will be invited to form groups of two to perform. After a brief introduction to Adobe After Effects CC software we will edit previously recorded scenarios, add and animate light sabre effects.

Recommended for: Students, teachers and others interested in the area of animation, filmmaking and visual effects.

INFORMATION: the indicated material is individual and mandatory. The indicated software must already be installed. The fulfillment of these tasks is the responsibility of forming and non-compliance with these requirements may lead to inadequate training conduct.

Please do not wear green clothing so the greenscreen can be used to maximum effect.

These workshops are in collaboration with the Masters in Illustration and Animation (MIA) of the Design School of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA)

Participants can sign-up separately for each workshop, for a fee of 7 euros per workshop. If they choose to enrol in all 5 workshops, the total cost is 25 euros.
